Login & accounts

Where do I access the portal?

At the login page https://artist.theodeto.com or by going to www.theodeto.com and there’s a button under Customer Service that will take you straight there.

I have forgotten my password, how do I get a new one?

Click on ‘Forgotten password’ at the login page and follow the instructions.

How do I access or change information in the Artist Portal?

You can reach this via the Home page in the Artist portal by clicking on the button ‘Artist Profile’. There you will find all your personal details and artist portrait. You can simply click to revise any information or upload additional photos for your artist and studio images.

ARTWORKs

How many artworks do you accept?

We can never get enough art :) Usually we do a first intake of approx 8pcs per artist and grow from there.

What is the maximum size of the artwork allowed?

Since we ship globally we have to put a limit to the size of the artworks in our collection. This means an artwork can be at most 100cm on the longest side of a painting or max 50cm high if it’s a sculpture.

Do my paintings need to be framed?

No, they don’t have to but our customers prefer paintings or wall sculptures that are ready to hang on the wall.

How do you price the artworks?

We base the pricing on a dialogue with each artist together with our knowledge and experience. We never set a price without the artist's permission and with many of our artists we develop their pricing over time as their audience grows.

Terms & Conditions

Do I need to pay a monthly fee?

No, we’re in this together and only charge our commission when we make a sale happen.

When will I get paid? I saw that my artwork has sold last week but have not received anything

We do monthly payouts where the previous month's sales are paid out at the end of the month after. For e.g. all sales from March will be paid out at the end of April.

Can I sell my art somewhere else or by myself?

All artworks consigned to us (uploaded on our website) should be exclusive for The Ode To. However if you’d like to also keep your own shop or work with others please do so. If you sell very similar works we would be happy that you told us so we know and can make sure marketing activities are targeted correctly.

What happens if something breaks/gets lost?

All art stored by us is assured by us, meaning if it would break or get lost you would still receive your full share. Artworks stored by you as an artist are however under your safekeeping. We strongly suggest keeping it insured for your own sake.

Shipping

Who will pay for shipping?

That depends. If you keep the artworks in your studio we will take care of the shipping to the art buyer when a sale happens. If you’d like us to store the artworks in our showroom you pay for the shipping to us and we take care of the shipping to the art buyer, but also to any possible lend-outs for promotional purposes, warehousing and so on.
