Sofia Tufvasson Show – The Ode To

Sofia Tufvasson

For this exhibition, artist Sofia Tufvasson has explored the contrasts in her work and taken her popular ceramic sculptures to the next level. In Tufvasson’s latest work for this exhibition, hard meets soft and shadows meet light, while being further intertwined. A duality that would normally be a source of dissonance is transformed and united in harmony - making this exhibition a true showcase of Tufvasson’s skills as an artist.

Softness & Solidity

The sculptures have a supple and organic appearance, almost as if stemming from nature. This soft and tactile expression is almost an invitation for you to touch them, only to be met with the solidity and durability of stoneware.

This in itself is not an easy feat, because though clay is a material with endless possibilities it often has a life of its own and never quite obeys to one's will.

A growing artistry

Our long-lasting collaboration with artist Sofia Tufvasson has allowed us to not only see the growth in her artistry, but also in her recognition. Tufvasson’s work has been exhibited in a variety of forums such as Salone del Mobile in Milano, The Audo in Copenhagen and 1000 Vases Paris, while also being featured in high-end editorials for magazines such as Milk Decoration, Wallpaper and Elle Decoration. In other words, her works are notably favored, in large part due to the approachable and undeniably appealing aesthetic of her pieces.
