Final Drawings is a series of artworks made in wood with hand-made cut-outs. The works are results of a process where all possibilities of hesitation are removed. Drawing with a technique that prevents you from correcting, erasing or even stopping for a moment creates a tension and a special focus in the present moment. What is drawn can not be undone. The first draft becomes the final drawing.
Each artwork requires time and dedication. Organic patterns are cut by hand with a wood router in one go directly into the painted wood board. The edges of the pattern is then filed by hand for a nice finish and a thin wood frame is attached. The entire artwork is made entirely out of wood.
About: Joakim Nyström is a designer and artist based in Stockholm. He holds an MFA from Konstfack Collage of Arts and Crafts and works with design in various contexts. Joakims practice always starts from tactile experiments with materials and form. His projects often revolves around different states of a specific material. Usually wood. Delivery: Fedex International Economy delivers in 4-10 business days, but may vary due to customs routines. Orders are shipped on a Delivery Duty Unpaid (DDU) basis, meaning that all taxes and duties are excluded in the final price and that you're responsible for potential duties and sales tax of your state.
Some of our artworks are shipped straight from the artist to you. This is always clearly stated in the artwork description. The artist may need an extra day or two in order to process your order and pack it. You'll get a tracking code when the artwork is shipped.
Shipping from artists
Frames
Frames can only be purchased in Sweden due to high shipping costs. The print is mounted by a framing studio in Stockholm and takes an additional 5 work days for delivery. You’ll get an email with the tracking number for the delivery to the framing studio, but you’ll not be able to track the shipping of the framed print. The frame will be ready to put on your wall as soon as it arrives.
Returns
You can return your order within 14 days of receiving it for a full refund. All items should be returned in its original condition and packaging. Please note that you are responsible for the return back to us.
Framed prints and on demand prints cannot be returned since they are printed and/or mounted especially for you and can’t be reused after being returned. For more info read our full Return Policy.
Payments
All payments are done using SSL encryption preventing unauthorized access to card details. We offer the following payment options: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Klarna, Google Pay, Apple Pay, Swish, iDEAL and Bancontact.
