Like an asteroid - this abstract glass wall sculpture is a wonder of billowing shapes. It shows a juxtaposition between the hard glass and the soft contours. As part of the Peace And Love collection, this glass sculpture gives us hope of a brighter future while showing the power of positivity.
The shape is achieved through multi-step method that requires lots of time, patience and love. First Malin Pierre sews the original form in fabric, which she then uses to make a plaster form in multiple layers to mimic the fabric. The plaster form then dries for a week and is then heated and hot glass is blown into it. The form containing the glass then slowly cools off in a kiln for a couple of days to avoid the glass from breaking. Finally the plaster is carefully removed and the remaining plaster is rinsed off and the surface is brushed shiny.
The result is a fashionable couture wall sculpture where the surface has traces of fabric. As you probably understand, no two are the same and you'll get something really unique.
Details: This artwork is hollow on the inside and can be mounted on the wall with a nail or screw. Keep in mind that all handmade artworks can have little imperfections and traces of the artist's hands. Please note that the golden chain is only for decoration.
About the Artist
The art of Malin Pierre is colourful and graphic and her pieces are an experimental journey to evolve and constantly try new things. She's currently taking her Masters at Konstfack in Stockholm (University of Arts, Crafts and Design) as a pursuit of working with her passion. Read more in Malin Pierre's artist portrait.

Some of our artworks are shipped straight from the artist to you. This is always clearly stated in the artwork description. The artist may need an extra day or two in order to process your order and pack it. You'll get a tracking code when the artwork is shipped.
Shipping from artists
Frames
Frames can only be purchased in Sweden due to high shipping costs. The print is mounted by a framing studio in Stockholm and takes an additional 5 work days for delivery. You’ll get an email with the tracking number for the delivery to the framing studio, but you’ll not be able to track the shipping of the framed print. The frame will be ready to put on your wall as soon as it arrives.
Returns
You can return your order within 14 days of receiving it for a full refund. All items should be returned in its original condition and packaging. Please note that you are responsible for the return back to us.
Framed prints and on demand prints cannot be returned since they are printed and/or mounted especially for you and can’t be reused after being returned. For more info read our full Return Policy.
