This handbuilt mini vase comes with great personality and charm. By using a combination of pinching, coiling and slab methods, artist Abid Javed has created a tactile and timeless piece showing the breathtaking beauty of clay.
In contrast to Abid Javed’s day job in biochemistry, where he looks at the complexities found in structures in biology, his ceramic work strives for simplicity. By shedding all details and looking at objects transparently and into their skeletal architecture, Javed’s work takes an abstract turn to bringing biological concepts and forms to life via sculptures and vessels.

Artist Abid Javed’s background is a culmination of his time spent in Hong Kong, England and Pakistan - picking up three different languages and three different cultures. Javed’s artistic journey has been as dynamic and non-traditional as his background is. During his PhD in biochemistry, while dabbling with painting and illustration on the side, Javed was enamoured by the visual aspect of biology with its array of storylines. This enamourment compelled him to find a medium that would allow him to translate these storylines in 3D - carefully exploring and finding his happy place in ceramics. All orders use trackable and reliable shipping. You will get an email with the tracking number as soon as the order leaves the warehouse. When you buy multiple products, they may be delivered in multiple parcels depending on the order.

Some of our artworks are shipped straight from the artist to you. This is always clearly stated in the artwork description. The artist may need an extra day or two in order to process your order and pack it. You'll get a tracking code when the artwork is shipped.
Shipping from artists
Frames
Frames can only be purchased in Sweden due to high shipping costs. The print is mounted by a framing studio in Stockholm and takes an additional 5 work days for delivery. You’ll get an email with the tracking number for the delivery to the framing studio, but you’ll not be able to track the shipping of the framed print. The frame will be ready to put on your wall as soon as it arrives.
Returns
You can return your order within 14 days of receiving it for a full refund. All items should be returned in its original condition and packaging. Please note that you are responsible for the return back to us.
Framed prints and on demand prints cannot be returned since they are printed and/or mounted especially for you and can’t be reused after being returned. For more info read our full Return Policy.
